BSCI - Business Social Compliance Initiative

The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is a leading supply chain management system that supports companies to drive social compliance and improvements within the factories and farms in their global supply chains. BSCI implements the principle international labour standards protecting workers’ rights such as International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions and declarations, the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and guidelines for multinational enterprises of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Please Note: The BSCI program is not a program for certification - a supplier may not receive a formal certificate upon the conclusion of the BSCI audit. The BSCI program is a voluntary system by which BSCI members (retailers and brands) work with their suppliers to comply with the BSCI code of conduct.

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 sets out the criteria by which an environmental management system can be certified. It maps out a framework that a company or organization can follow to set up an effective environmental management system.

Designed for any organization, regardless of its activity or sector, it can assure company management, employees, and external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.

Higg FEM - Facility Environmental Module

The Higg Index is a suite of tools that enables brands, retailers, and facilities of all sizes - at every stage in their sustainability journey - to measure social and environmental sustainability performance. Developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, the Higg Index is the leading assessment for standardized supply chain sustainability assessment. The Higg Index delivers a holistic overview that empowers businesses to make meaningful improvements that protect the well-being of factory workers, local communities, and the environment. The Higg Facility Environmental Module informs manufacturers, brands, and retailers about the environmental performance of their facilities, empowering them to scale sustainability improvements.

Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action

Under the auspices of UN Climate Change, fashion stakeholders worked during 2018 to identify ways in which the broader textile, clothing, and fashion industry could move towards a holistic commitment to climate action. They created the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, which presents the vision to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The Fashion Industry Charter was launched at COP24 in Katowice, Poland, in December 2018.

GOTS - Global Organic Textile Standard

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. The standard aims to define internationally recognized requirements that ensure the organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing process to labelling to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer. Textile processors and manufacturers export their organic fabrics and garments with one certification accepted in all major markets.

REACH is the European Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. It entered into force in 2007, replacing the former legislative framework for chemicals in the EU. REACH shifts the responsibility of assessing and managing the risks posed by chemicals and providing appropriate safety information for their users from public authorities to the industry. The main focus of REACH is to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment, including the promotion of alternative test methods, the free circulation of substances on the internal market, the enhancement of competitiveness and innovation.


Fair Wear

Together with garment brands and other industry players, the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) works to develop better labour conditions for the people who make the clothes. The individuals in clothing factories are often forced to work under dangerous and abusive conditions for poverty wages. That is why FWF pushes towards a new normal, where workers feel safe, respected, and receive a salary that is enough to provide for their families. Fair Wear brands show that there is a better way to make clothes that puts the people who make them front and centre. FWF is determined to make this the new normal.

LTP Group and Fair Wear members have jointly committed to making step-by-step improvements in the lives of the people who make their clothes. This means a commitment to uphold the Fair Wear Code of Labour Practices. Fair Wear verifies the process of step-by-step improvements towards full implementation of the Code of Labour Practices.

FSC® - Forest Stewardship Council

The FSC® system allows businesses and consumers to identify, purchase, and use wood, paper, and other forest products made with materials from well-managed forests or recycled sources. FSC® is a global, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting responsible forest management worldwide.

FSC® enables businesses and consumers to make informed choices about the forest products they buy and create positive change by engaging the power of market dynamics.

Almost all of our materials suppliers work with this certification.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is designed to ensure a product has been tested for harmful substances and that the article is harmless for human health. The test is conducted by independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes based on our extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalogue. In the test, they take into account several regulated and non-regulated substances which may be harmful to human health. In many cases, the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements.
